With roots in Southern California, owners Carmen and Efren Ruiz started out with taquerías that are still in business to this day. Venturing out of Southern California to North Carolina in the late ’90s, the Ruiz family opened their first Pancho Villa’s in Winston-Salem, NC, and the rest is history. It’s been awhile since visiting Pancho’s. My daughter and I were treated like royalty. The owner is constantly wandering around the restaurant making sure everyone is having a memorable dining experience. Efren is the priceless piece to this restaurant’s puzzle that many other restaurants lack. His attention to detail is evident in the food and the wait staff.

Our experience here was phenomenal. There's plenty of parking and plenty of space inside. The food was SO flavorful and the portions were huge. Service was great and they were not short on servers! This ranks in the top 5 for us and currently stands as the best in Winston Salem. We'll definitely be back.
Whenever I feel the craving for arroz con pollo, I go to Pancho Villas in Winston-Salem even though I live in Clemmons. They always do right by me and the food and portions are a Chef's kiss. The service is great with a little to no wait if you call ahead. I always feel welcomed and appreciated by the staff. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Mexican cuisine. Always a wonderful experience. Great food, fantastic prices, wonderful service. Cannot go wrong. Always have leftovers to take home. Menu if full of items to order - you are bound to find something you will enjoy.
